Space Center Houston to Remain Closed Until Feb. 20

Space Center Houston will remain closed on Thursday, Feb. 18 and Friday, Feb. 19 to protect the safety of its guests and workers due to the impact of the winter weather in the area. The center plans to reopen at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20. However, it is monitoring weather conditions and will announce any further changes needed to its re-opening date and operating hours on and on the center’s social media pages.

The planned live viewing at Space Center Houston of the landing of NASA’s Perseverance Rover on Mars schedule for Thursday, Feb. 18, has been canceled, but we encourage people to watch the landing virtually on NASA TV. The program will begin at 1:15 p.m. Thursday afternoon, with the landing anticipated at 2:55 p.m.

The Home School Day that was scheduled for Friday, Feb. 19 will be rescheduled for another date to be announced soon. Ticket holders for that Homeschool Day will be notified of their options and the new date as soon as it is available.

Participants registered in activities that were postponed due to the closure will be contacted with rescheduling information.
