- Take a bite out of Wolfgang Puck Chef Chats | 12:00pm, 12:30pm & 1:00pm | Learn how to give your food waste a new life with Executive Chef Jason Avellanet in the Food Lab!
- Enjoy the special storytime book “Only One” by Deborah Hopkinson and Chuck Groenink | Learn about our Earth with this family friendly storybook presentation through the day on both Saturday and Sunday.
- Take home a tree from Trees For Houston | Trees for Houston has been around for 41 years, now plants more than 70,000 trees per year throughout our region. They will provide a total of 1500 trees to giveaway for free to guests as part of our Planet Earth Celebration.
- Dig into recyclables with City of Houston Recycling | City of Houston Recycling will be using hands on interactives to teach guests about the recycling process and what materials are recyclable.
- Dive into how we can preserve the ocean and its marine life | Join the Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network to learn about marine mammals using fun hands on activities including identifying animal bones and feeling how blubber keeps these marine mammals warm in cold water.
- Enjoy special activities in Independence Plaza! | What better way to celebrate Planet Earth than by being outside! We will have outdoor games, chalk artists, a DJ, and pop up science activities in our Independence Plaza overlooking our historic and original NASA 905 shuttle carrier aircraft.
