The private group tour begins with Robert Goddard’s liquid fueled rocket and progresses through the timeline of human space exploration. Students see authentic flown spacecraft and follow the space race and subsequent development of international cooperation. Future explorers may touch a Moon rock and get close up views and stories of these national treasures.

  • Topics: History of space exploration, rocketry, planetary geology
  • Suggested level: All levels

Starship Gallery field trip enhancement is $5 per guest with a minimum of 20 students or $100. Additional tickets for students and adults are available for $5. STEM Classroom Experiences

Students investigate Newton’s Laws of Motion and rocketry by completing their mission of a safe and successful launch. Teams will design, build and launch rockets and collect data on the rocket’s flight trajectory and distance. The young engineers will then modify their designs to make their rockets go further and/or change trajectory.

  • Topics: Teamwork, engineering design, Newton’s laws of force and motion
  • Suggested level: Foam rockets: 4-12
  • Related center exhibits: Mission Mars, Starship Gallery, Rocket Park

STEM experiences are $7 per participant. There is a minimum of 15 and maximum of 25 participants per session. Sessions are offered Monday through Friday at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m., and 1:30 p.m.

Sessions must be booked at least four (4) weeks in advance.
