Space Center Houston offers a variety of age-appropriate, educational camp experiences. Your child will engage in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) activities, while learning about space exploration, taking part in space-themed interactive experiences and exploring all that Space Center Houston has to offer!

Amateur Radio with ISS

June 12-16 | $350

Campers will explore the Electromagnetic Spectrum from radio waves all the way to gamma rays. They will see the world in a whole new light and use the spectrum to better understand the universe. Campers will how NASA scientists and engineers use the electromagnetic spectrum to study the universe and participate in hands-on exploration. Campers might even use amateur radio to contact an astronaut living on the International Space Station (ISS)! This contact is not guaranteed, but might be an out-of-this-world addition to this camp.

Living on Mars

June 19-23, July 3-7, July 17-21, Aug. 7-11 | $350

What does it take to live on Mars? In this engineering challenge, campers will create a life-size Martian habitat that will simulate sustaining human life on Mars. Campers will learn the essentials of living on Mars through habitat design and construction, radiation shielding, life support, power supplies, aquaponics and water filtration. Through the use of a variety of robotics platforms, campers will perform extravehicular activities to explore and collect data on simulated Martian terrain.
